The only good thing about integrated courses is that it saves time for you. If you are interested in higher education in engineering then B.Tech-M.Tech integrated course is for you which is of 5 years duration. It clearly saves your one year.

If you are only interested in B.Tech then stay away from this course. Most of the graduates opt for some other field like management after completion of engineering degree. Therefore, it all depends on your choice.

Generally, candidates with gap after 10+2 try to do integrated B.Tech-M.Tech so as to compensate for the one year gap. The main advantage of this integrated course is that you can save one year as if you will do B.Tech and M.Tech alone, it will take 4 years and two years respectively.

Hence you will have to give six years for both of these course but in case of integrated course the duration of course is only five years. Yes, you will be eligible for all jobs either it is public sector or it is government sector after completion of this course in India as well as abroad also.

Yes, if you are planning to take up a job in research are or you want to do teaching jobs, BTech-MTech combination is the best since you could save one year. You can get an early head start for your Phd degree. Also you can clear GATE Exam, with 2 chance during your study time itself, 4th and 5th years of study.
