Will I be able to qualify in GATE if scored 38 marks in GATE being a SC candidate?


hello
i have 38 marks in gate paper and
i belong to sc category.
So what is the chance for qualifying gate?

Yes, you can definitely qualify in GATE by securing 38 marks in GATE examination. Since, you belong to SC category, the qualifying marks for SC/ST categories will be less when compared to that of other categories. The qualifying marks of GATE examination for SC students for different gate papers is minimum of 16.69 marks and 28.59 marks based on the gate paper. Since, you have secured 38 marks in your GATE paper, you will be considered as a qualified candidate in the GATE examination.

Since you have got 38 marks in GATE exam and also you belongs to SC category, definitely you will get a valid GATE score card.

Qualifying marks in 2014 GATE exam for SC candidates:

Computer Sc. & IT-16.67
Chemical Engineering-21.57
Civil Engineering-18.09
Electronics & Communication-16.67
Electrical Engineering-17.16
Instrumentation Engineering-16.67
Mechanical Engineering -16.67
