BA Economics holder can become Accountant?
Dr sir/madam, i'm chithra. Now i'm studied in ba economics. But my 2 level studies in commerce. Now want know i can get that opportunity to become an accountant

Yes, you can become an Accountant by giving the CPT entrance examination then give IPCC and join Articleship. Though Economics is very relevant to Accounting but it is not accounting. CPT and IPCC will give you a good knowledge of accounting and other related subjects of CA.

Since you have completed your bachelors degree program in Economics, you can definitely pursue Chartered Accountancy course and in order to do so, first of all, you will have to qualify Common Proficiency Test conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

The basic eligibility criteria required to become Accountant is given below, Name of the job position- Accountant >> As far as my knowledge is concerned, you are certainly eligible to become Accountant. >> In general, Candidates must have completed 12th class in 10+2 pattern with commerce subjects like Mathematics, Economics, accounts..etc., >> Since you have completed 12th grade with Commerce and BA in Economics I can say that you are certainly eligible to become Accountant. |
