Can I apply for 2nd Mate after 18 months of experience in one ship or having experience in two ships are mandatory?
I done dns after that i got ship at 28 november 2012 now i am still on that same ship if i complete my 18 months sea experience on this same ship means one ship expeience so can i apply for 2nd mate is it possible or two ships are compulsary plzz tell me if u know

Yes, you can switch to different ship after the completion of the exact time period on 1 ship as it is mentioned during joining of your ship. As you can assume it as a bond period and after the end of the bond period you can switch to different ship.
As this will very useful for you only. First you will have experience of 18 months, seconds you will be yourself experienced in this field. So, this can result in the increment of your package when you will go to the different ship company. |
