To become a General Insurance Agent, the following requirements are needed;

Candidate’s age should be over 18 years
Candidate should have passed 12th or equivalent examination conducted by any recognized board
Candidate will be given in house training in Training Centre / Branch Office
Candidate has to pass the examination conducted by Insurance Institute of India or any other Body approved by IRDAI on course of IC34.
After passing the examination, you will be awarded license issued through IRDAI Portal to work as an Insurance Agent.

For General Insurance or Life Insurance AGENCY You have to go to Concerned Branch Office!

For both(Plenty) You need to under go for Training you have to pass IRDA On-Line Test! You have to secure min 35% marks. NSEIT conduct these exams.
