The AIPMT exam is conducted in two stages namely prelims and mains. In the prelims exam the total time provided to solve the question paper is of three hours and the no. of questions from Physics are 50. All the questions are multiple choice type questions having four options of which only one is correct. There is also negative marking for each wrong answer. In the mains exam, there are total 10 questions from Physics and the total time provided for solving the paper is of 2 hours. The mains exam is descriptive one and each question carries a maximum of 5 marks. The medium of the examination is English. Below are attached some of the previous years question papers. AIPMT Physics Papers

The All India Pre Medical Test is considered to be one of the most prestigious exams of the country. The Central Board of Secondary Education holds the examination every year. There are two stages in the exam. The first stage is preliminary exam and then for the successful candidates there is the main exam.

AIPMT Prelims Paper Pattern

The preliminary examination has questions from physics, chemistry and biology. The questions from physics are 50 in number. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. The questions are all multiple choice types. The questions are set to cover the entire syllabus of physics as prescribed by CBSE. There is also a provision for negative marking.

AIPMT Mains Paper Pattern

Candidates who succeed to crack the prelims are eligible to sit for the mains. Refer to the CBSE PMT site to check for the qualification. The main exam is a descriptive one. The questions are to be answered on the answer booklet provided. The paper I of the main exam consists of questions from physics and chemistry. 10 questions are from physics. Each question carries 5 marks. The duration of the exam is two hours. It also contains 10 questions on chemistry. So altogether there are 20 questions in the first paper.
