The Materials and Methods of Construction Examination paper consists of nine question in total. Questions 1 to 8 consist of 12 marks each and the examinee has the option to answer any 5 from the eight questions. Question 9 has 10 question of two marks each and is compulsory. Topics like standard burnt brick, first class brick, terracotta, its preparation and properties, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, sulphate attacks, tooled and vermiculated stone, timber and its seasoning, particle boards and block boards, cement, Portland cement, grades of cement, anodizing and non ferrous metals, glass, sheet glass, annealing of glass, crown glass, flint glass and pyrex glass, steel bars and TMT bars. Mohs scale, hard wood, veneer, glass makers soap, concreting action, stainless steel, adobe and M-20 concrete are some other topics that are there in the paper.
