The Engineering mechanics paper is used to examine and predict the deformation and acceleration of objects which are both plastic and elastic as well as the known forces or loads. The students should have knowledge of the basic concepts underlying such a phenomenon. Essentially the paper deals with statics which is the study of inanimate and non moving bodies also called loads. This also concerns kinetics or dynamics that as to do with the forces and their affect on moving bodies. The paper will also have questions dealing with strength of materials or the mechanics and the study of how they are formed under different degrees of stress. There is also deformation mechanics which is the study of deformations in the elastic range. The paper also deals with fluid mechanics that concern how fluids react to different forces. There is also continuum mechanics which is all about how mechanics are applied to objects that are continuous.
