Environmental Microbiology pertains to the science and study of microbes and microorganisms which affect the environment in different ways. The study of this paper is important in order to understand the nature of ailments caused by viruses and bacteria and how they can be combated and also how some bacteria can be used to create effective defence against other ailments. Through a series of theoretical and practical knowledge this paper explains some basic concepts that enable the students in a further advanced research in this subject. Some of the topics incorporated in the course of this study are Filter sterilization, power of an electron microscope, dry sterilization, procaryot cell, asymptomatic and symptomatic virus carriers, virus inactivation methods, bacterial biofilm, virus replication phases in cell culture, Ion exchange chromatography, cell lives and their importance in animal virology, mode of action of antibiotic of bacteria, DNA sequencing by different methods, microbial migration. The paper is fully scoring with lots of short questions. Infact this paper doesn’t have any long questions. The maximum marks carried by any question in this paper are 5.
