A graduate degree, preferably in chemistry but not necessarily so, is required in order to be eligible for the exam. The exam fee is Rs.100 for general category. All the questions in the paper will be essay type. A good command over the verbatim of the subject is required to successfully clear the exam. Once he has cleared the written exam, he or she becomes eligible for an interview which will comprise of technical as well as general or personal questions. Chemistry Paper 2 follows the same pattern of questions as in Paper 1. Only the topics or themes are different.
