The paper on Facilitating Growth and Development deals with the different patterns of growth and development in children and the ways different factors impact the growth and development of children of different age groups. For the sake of a completely healthy mind and body it is essential that one recognises the things that are necessary for an all round growth and development of children and heeds to these different factors carefully. The lessons in this course covers topics like basic problems faced by kids in their development, measures taken by children and parents in coping with these problems, characteristics of a well-integrated personality, role of a teacher in development of a child’s personality, influence of different types of mass media on children, characteristics of a slow learner, problems associated with the emotional development of children, factors that promote interpersonal communication, therapeutic use of play for children, concept of deprivation. The paper has only 3 questions and all of them are descriptive ones. In the first two questions you have to write 1000 words answers and in last one you have to write 4 answers of 250 words each.
