JAM exam is for those who want to make it to the IIT for M. Sc. Maths is one of the available options out of the eight that are totally available. The paper consists of both descriptive and objective questions and they are divided into two separate sections. The candidates have to answer all the questions from both the sections. First section contains 30 questions and the other section contains 10 questions which may have sub questions. The weightage is more for subjective questions and negative marks will be imposed for answering questions wrongly in section B. Practicing using previous year question papers will be helpful.
