Indian Economic Services will prove to be an exciting career for those candidates who have completed their graduation in Economics. The candidates will have to appear for IES examination after which they will be given a given a post in Indian Economic Services. IES officers are placed in National Sample Survey, planning commission, Ministry of economic affairs etc. The examination is held in the month of November and is conducted by UPSC. IES exam has 6 papers, General English, General Studies, 3 General Economics Papers and Indian economics papers. General English and General Studies are of 100 marks each while all others are of 200 marks each. All question papers are of essay type and time allotted is 3 hours. Is it mandatory to have a PG degree to appear for the IES exam?

i have done my graduation in commerce from panjab university & persuing C.A. rite nw.. plz tellme whether i am eligible for IES exam, if not can u suggest me any competitive exam with regard to audit, accounts, finaance or income tax with its entire details
