The combined competitive examination was introduced in the year 1957, January 26th a part of a different public service commission in the state. The agricultural paper is an important part of this paper and this paper is used as part of the recruitment procedure for government posts within the state. There is a preliminary and main examination. The agricultural paper is part of the optional paper of the examination. With agriculture, the paper will also focus on a host of other subjects that are also part of the optional list which includes Mathematics, Management, Kashmiri Law, History, Hindi Geology, Geography, General English, and General Studies. All these papers are part of two papers which are Agriculture 1 and Agriculture 2. The maximum marks given for this paper is 300 marks and the time allowed for completion of the paper is three hours. There are 8 questions where 6 are to be answered, and these have question nos. 2 and 4 that are compulsorily answered.
