Digital Integrated Circuits is a technical course which is rooted to some very scientific and specialized concepts. The understanding of these concepts is an integral part of the subject and mathematical proficiency is a prerequisite for this. Concepts entail all the aspects of digital circuits including their organizational, serviceable and relational aspects. The official syllabus presents topics about semiconductors, modelling codes and theories, diodes and parameters for extraction, switching characteristics, specifications for TTL circuits and logic circuits, standard and advanced TTL circuits, technology of inverters and DC, prerequisites for operation and qualitative discussions about the circuits, concepts and logic of power schottky, basic operation codes of ECL, low power ECL, quantitative analysis of these, dynamics of digital integrated circuits, technicalities of BiCMOS drivers, bipolar transistors and equivalent circuits, CMOS SPRAM and BiCMOS SPRAM. The lectures are mostly based on computer texts and presentations as the theories are all hard-core methodological and scientific.
