Integrated Circuit Papers is one of the important subjects in the engineering departments of electrical and electronics. It instills in the students methods to solve various integrated circuits and the applications of such I/C s in our everyday life. Analog electronics is very important for chip and circuit designing.

Overview of the Paper

The paper is of 70 marks total and it is further subdivided into three parts. Part A has 12 multiple choice questions out of which 10 are to be answered each question carries 1 mark. Part B has 4 short answer type questions out of which 3 are to be attempted, each question carries 5 marks, and part C has 5 long answer type questions out of which 3 are to be answered and each question carries 10 marks. Questions from part B and part c are further subdivided.

Analog and mixed signal interface circuits and systems; analog and RFIC design; data converters; active-RC, switched-capacitor, and continuous-time integrated filters; mixed analog/digital VLSI systems; wireless radio transceivers; clock and data recovery circuits; and high speed optoelectronic circuits and systems, BJT, FET, Op Amp, biasing stability, instrumentation circuit and amplifiers, VMOS, phase shift oscillator, Light activated SCR, phototransistors, capacitor filter, ripple voltage, conduction angle, power diodes, tunnel diodes, IR emitters, Wien bridge oscillators, general filter considerations, series and shunt voltage regulators.

The total time allotted is 3 hours and the maximum marks are 70.
