The paper has two sections and total marks for this paper is80. Section A contains 5 questions of 14 marks each, questions have internal choice and candidates must answer any 5. Some of the questions are: critically evaluate the impact of TRIPS on the Indian Economy, what is infringement of copyright and what measures have been take to address infringement of copyright, explain the various methods of compulsory licensing, discuss the procedure for assignment and licensing of patent, comment on literal and non-literal copying of computer software, discuss the constitutional and Human Rights dimensions of Intellectual Property, critically examine the Fair Use Doctrine, explain how sui-generis system is better than Patent system in respect of legal protection of plant varieties. In Section B, all questions are compulsory. Some of the questions are short notes on Paries Convention, Traditional Knowledge, Berni Convention, Non patentable inventions, International regions of patent law.
