The National Eligibility Test or NET, as it is popularly known as, conducted by UGC is to test the eligibility of the candidate for lectureship in subjects like Forensic Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages, and Environmental Sciences etc. For other Science Subjects, CSIR-UGC NET is conducted by UGC and CSIR. Philosophy is one of the subjects in which the exam can be taken. Paper II of the subject consists of multiple choice type questions and paper III consists of detailed answers type questions. Paper II is of 100 marks in total and Paper III carries 200 marks.
