The Malayalam Paper III of NET is a 200 marks paper comprising of 19 questions. There are four sections in the paper. The first section involves two essay type questions. They are of 20 marks each. The word limit for each question is 500. The second section again has three questions from each of the electives provided. The candidate is expected to choose one elective and answer all the three questions from the elective. Each question carries 15 marks and should consist of about 300 words. Section 3 of the paper contains 9 questions of 10 marks each which have to be answered in about 50 words. The last question is mainly a reading comprehension with five questions below it. All have to be answered in 30 words each for five marks per question.

The paper is available in both English and Malayalam. However, it has to be answered in Malayalam only. You can go through the previous years’ papers to get a better idea of the paper pattern and the most important topics likely to be asked in the exam. it could also serve as a general reference or guidebook for your planned study.
