The National Eligibility Test is held for many subjects. Sociology is one of the subjects. There are two papers of Sociology in NET. They are paper II and paper III. Paper II is an MCQ test of 100 marks. This test has no negative marking. Paper III is a 200 marks test and the time for the exam is two hours and a half. There are four sections in the paper. The first two sections consist of short answer type questions and the lasts two sections have long answer type questions. There is a specified word limit for the questions in each of the sections. Internal choices are there in each section of the paper.
