I have 18 years of teaching in a polytechnic, with BE degree & M.Sc in counseling and psychotherapy . Am I not eligible to teach mathematics & physics in a CBSE/ICSE school.

Yes, you are eligible to teach Mathematics and Physics in a CBSE/ICSE Board School as you have a teaching experience of 18 years.
Since most of the Schools require B.Ed qualification for the post of teacher in a School but according to your teaching experience, you can get a chance to teach the above subjects in a School.
