Sir, i am a BA student from IGNOU. Because of my low percentage in HS from ahsec, i could not apply for TET. Therefore with a view to sit in TET
I registered my name in ignou and i have upgraded now to BA last year in ignou. I would be grateful to you if you solve my curiosity.

After completion of B.A course from IGNOU, you can apply for Assam TET exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are eligible for Assam TET exam.

You must have a valid B.Ed degree.

Your age should be below 38 years.

Yes, IGNOU students can apply for Assam TET.

Candidate must have completed graduation form any recognised university. IGNOU is a recognised university by University Grants Commission.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Assam education board every year for the recruitment of the teacher in the government schools in secondary and Senior Secondary.

The eligibility criteria to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidates must be citizen of India.
* Candidates must have passed the graduation from a recognised university with a B.Ed or B.T degree.
* Candidates must have minimum of 50% marks in the graduation to become teacher in secondary schools.
* Candidates age must be less than the 38 years and relaxation in the upper age limit of 5years for the SC/ST.

So you can appear for the examination as IGNOU is recognised board.

Let me clear your confusion. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was established in the year 1989 as an autonomous organisation by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. So, there should be no problem regarding higher studies and entrance exams.

Yes, you can apply for Assam TET exam after completion your graduation from IGNOU with 50% aggregated marks on your Subject. IGNOU is a Central Govt recognized body which will give you the credibility you desire

IGNOU B.Ed is an external student degree exams- distant education degree. it does not prevent you from appearing for a SET OR TET AS long you satisfy basic educational and age and other criteria .
