Those candidates who have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are eligible for Assam TET exam. You must have a valid B.Ed degree.

Your age should be below 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates

Age of candidate must not be above 38 years n 1st January of the year of applying.
There is relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and PH candidates.
There is no relaxation for female candidates.

TET stands for Teacher eligibility test.

The age limit of the candidate should not exceed 38 years of age for general category and relaxation of 5 years of SC/ ST candidate's.

ASSAM TET is held for the recruitment of teachers in government schools managed by Assam Government.

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

Age limit :- Your age must be within 21 years to 38 years. Further relaxation of 5 years are provided to reserved category candidates. No further relaxation is provided to female candidates.

Educational Qualification :-

I) For becoming teacher of Class 1 to Class 5 :- You must have a minimum higher secondary school degree or any equivalent degree with any discipline from a recognized university along with diploma in education degree.

II) For becoming teacher of Class VI and above :- You need to have a bachelor's degree in arts or science from a recognized university along with bachelor of education degree.

The age limit is 38 years for general category and it is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
The candidate must be a graduate having 50% marks from a recognized university with BT/B. Ed. from a recognized university.

Age limit for LP level TET in Assam:

There is a certain age limit to apply in Assam TET.
Lower limit of age is 18 years.
Upper limit of age is 38 years.
There is a relaxation of 5 years in upper limit for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
