Sir, I am from Patiala and I am studying 12th from Open Schooling and I want to do an MBBS course. Please help me to know whether I am eligible or not for giving the NEET-UG for MBBS? Thank you in advance.

NEET UG is conducted by NTA. The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed or pursuing 12th from a recognised board in PCB with minimum 50% aggregate.

So, candidate passed from a open schooling and is recognised are eligible to appear in the examination.

You are eligible to appear in the examination after 12th from open schooling.

Yes, candidates having completed their Class 12th through Open Schooling are also eligible for appearing in NEET-UG provided their board of examination is recognized.

Further, for appearing in NEET-UG, you must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate (or 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates) in PCB subject combination.

°°° In order to appear in NEET-MBBS for a 12th Open Board student, the candidate must have passed in physics, chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and English individually in the qualifying examination.
The candidate belonging to the general category must have scored a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

°°° The Medical Council of India has confirmed that the students who completed or passed class 12 through open school or distance mode are now eligible to apply for NEET exam.

Yes, you are definitely eligible for applying in the NEET after completing your 12th standard in the open board.

Eligibility criteria for applying the NEET as below:-

The candidate should have completed 12th standard in physics, chemistry and biology subject.

The candidate should have secured minimum 50% marks in their 12th standard .

Your minimum age should be 17 years.

Eligibility to appear in NEET-MBBS for a 12th Open Board student:-

Yes, you are eligible to apply for NEET exam , even if you have completed 12th standard from NIOS. That's because any candidate who have completed 12th standard with physics, chemistry and biology subjects are eligible to apply for NEET exam. So, if you can satisfy this criteria, you are definitely eligible to apply for NEET exam.

Eligibility criteria:-
Candidate should have completed his / her 12th standard with physics, chemistry and biology subjects.

Candidate should have secured minimum 50% of marks ( 45% in case of SC/ST ) in his / her 12th standard.

Eligibility to appear in NEET-MBBS for a 12th Open Board student is given below.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as subjects from a recognized board.
