My daughter birth date is 29th July 2008 and she completed 3rd standard in metric in the year of 2015 - 2016.But now we want 4th standard admission in cbse board for the academic year of 2016 -2017.so , is there any possibility to join above mentioned one ? The age criteria of cbse school in tamilnadu differ from school to school so that we want in detail about age critera regarding admission. By T.ETTI

Age Criteria Required for 4th Class admission in CBSE Board based Schools:

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, she is not eligible to get admission in 4th class with the present age. The age criteria required for 4th Class admission in CBSE school is given below.

>> Minimum Age Required for 4th Class: 8 years

>> Maximum Age Allowed for 4th Class: 10 years

Please note that Maximum and minimum ages are considered as on 31st March of the academic year. She will complete 8 years on 29th July, 2016 so, she is not eligible for getting admission in 4th Class of CBSE board.

The minimum age required for your daughter to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE Board school is 8 years 6 months. According to the information you have provided in your query, your daughter was 7 years 10 months old. As she has not fulfilled the age limit required for taking admission in 4th standard in CBSE Board, she is not eligible to get admission in 4th standard in CBSE Board school.

The age limit required to get admission in any CBSE Board school is almost same throughout the country.

As per CBSE Board, the candidate must be at least 5 1/2 years to be eligible to get admission in 1st standard. So, for getting admission in 4th standard of CBSE Board school, your daughter must be at least 8 1/2 years old.

The standard age criteria for getting admission in 4th class states that candidate must be at least 8 years old and his / her age must not exceeds 10 years at the time of admission.

Minimum age required to get admission in class IV in CBSE schools as per the rules is 8 years and 6 months. Hence take admission to your child in 4th standard when he attained this much age.

Your daughter is eligible for getting admission in 4th standard. Your daughter's age must be at least 8 years at the time of admission in 4th standard in any CBSE school. I am asking this due to the fact that CBSE has specified minimum age of 14 years at the time of admission in 10th standard. As per your daughter's date of birth, she is 8 years old now and as per the CBSC rules she is eligible for admission in 4th standard.

No your child is not eligible to get admission in class 4. Your child must be of at least 9 or 10 years then only he or she will be eligible to get admitted in desired standard otherwise not.

CBSE is a central board and have same rules all over the country. Here is the age criteria for admission in fourth standard.
Age limit for admission in 4th standard in CBSE schools : Eight and half years to 10 and half years.

Having born on 29th July 2008 and done your Class 3rd you are eligible for admission in Class 4th in the CBSE board schools as per your present educational qualification you will be eligible for appearing in the Class 10th board examination in the academic session 2022-2023 and by the 1st August 2022 your age will be over 14 years which is enough for one's eligibility in the same examination.

As per the CBSE norms, the minimum age limit for appearing in the 10th board examination must be at least 14 years and 5 months i.e, over 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which you are studying your Class 10th.

So you should not worry for admission in CBSE schools as most of the schools will offer you the admission in Class 4th.

Yes, there is no issue in it. You can get your child admitted in 4th standard at this age now as by the time she would be in class 10 opting for her board examination she will have reached the age of 15 years, which is the minimum age criteria to opt for 10th board examination.

The age limits of studying in 4th standard in CBSE board is 8.5 to 10.5 Years.You can contact to the Principal of School.There may be more conditions for admission.Sometimes,School principal can take more than ten year old students.Many things depend upon the School.So please contact to the principal of School first,where you want to take admission.

She is not eligible for getting admission for 4th class in the school with CBSE Board.

As per the age criteria for the admission in 4th class in the school CBSE Board candidate's should be of 8 years completed. Your daughter age is 7 years and some months. So, she is not eligible.

Dear Sir /Madam my son DOB 26 Aug 2009 now he is complete class 3rd in 31st March 2017. I want to admission in kv school in class 4th in year of 2017-18.But registration is not successful due to DOB is after 1st Apr 2017 .
