PGDM and PGDFM are same courses?
MBA degree is commonly known as Management courses and a post graduate diploma in finance (PGDF/PGDFM) are often confused to be one and the same courses?

You are right in saying that people confuse between PGDF and PGDFM very often. So let me just clear it out real quick.
PGDF stands for “Post Graduate Diploma in Finance” while PGDFM stands for “Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management”. The difference between the two is that the former course gives you detailed insight into the world of finances with topics like Capital and Money Markets, Commercial Banking, Risk Management, etc. whereas the latter provides a more managerial outlook to finance encloses topics like Financial Management, Corporate Taxation, etc. In simpler words, a person with a PGDF would be involved with money itself (transactions, balance sheets, etc.) while the one with a PGDFM would be more involved with the managing his/her firm’s assets.
