There are different criteria for admission in different school, it depends upon the reputation of the school.

However, for admission in government school there is nothing such criteria as your previous school should be a government recognised or anything like such.

The simple criteria or documents required for admission in any government school is;

> Candidate's past record

> Character certificate

> School leaving certificate

> Mark sheet and all other relevant documents

However many reputed schools conduct their own entrance examination and candidates are thus allowed admission on that basis itself.

So, for admission in any government school your son will have to collect the relevant documents and contact the desired school for further information.
