Respected Sir/Madam, I am a 10th standard student. I am studying from Chhattisgarh Board. I want to become a Police Officer. For this, I want to start preparation now. I want your help for this. I want to know what I have to do from now to achieve my aim.

It is not possible to become Police Officer after completing 10th.
The candidate must have done at least 12th standard in any stream in order to apply for the police constable job.

To to become police officer you have to complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university or Institute.

After completion of your graduation you can appear in civil services examination and become IPS.

Steps to become a Police Officer for a 10th Chhattisgarh Board student:-

You cannot become police officer after 10th. To become police officer you should have passed a bachelor degree from a recognised University.


You have to apply IPS exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.

Eligibility criteria for Civil Examination:-


Educational qualification:-

Candidates have a bachelor of degree in any stream from any recognised University.

Final year students are also eligible for this examination. There is no percentage required for this examination.

Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.

You must be physically as well as a mentally fit.

If you want to become a police officer then you have completed the graduation degree in any stream from a recognised University.

After that you can eligible to apply police officer exam. So after 10th you have complete your study.
Because for apply police officer exam the minimum education qualification is graduation degree.

1. Complete your 10th and 12th with minimum aggregate of 60%.

2. Go through Graduation course.

3. Pass graduation with minimum aggregate of 55% in any specialization.

4. Go for CGPSC exam .

5. Crack exam and clear all selection procedure to join state police as an officer.
