I have just passed 10th and I have decided
to pursue my H.S. in science field.
I am confused about various subjects of science.
So can you help me for this?

Subjects in Higher Secondary Science Stream

Compulsory subjects

1. First Language (English)

2. Second Language

2. Chemistry

4. Physics

5. Maths

Optional Subjects:

1. Biotechnology

2. Computer Science

3. Biology

4. Economics

5. Technical Drawing

You must have 6 subjects in your H.S.
If you are interested in Engineering then you can choose optional subjects like Computer Science or Technical drawing with other five subjects listed above.

If you are interested in Medical then you have to choose Biology with other five subjects listed above.

Following are the subjects, which you are going to study in your 11th and 12th class.

MPC Stream:-
English
Maths(1A)
Maths(2A)
Physics
Chemistry
Sanskrit

BIPC Stream:-
Physics
Chemistry
Botany
Zoology
English
Sanskrit

In Science stream, there are two sub streams known as MPC (Non-Medical) and BiPC (Medical) streams. Following are the subjects in Higher Secondary Science stream is mentioned below :-

MPC (Non-Medical Science) Stream :-
--> Mathematics-1A, 1B
--> Mathematics-2A, 2B
--> Physics
--> Chemistry
--> English
--> Sanskrit

Note :- Mathematics 1A, 1B are the subjects which you need to study in your 11th standard and Mathematics 2A, 2B are the subjects which you need to study in your 12th standard.

BiPC (Medical Science) Stream :-
--> Botany
--> Zoology
--> Physics
--> Chemistry
--> English
--> Sanskrit

Following subjects are enlisted in Science Stream;

1. Physics

2. Chemistry

3. Mathematics/Biology

4. English

5 Any additional subject like that Music & Hindi.

If you select the non medical then you should take Mathematics or you select the medical stream then take the Biology.

There are four compulsory subjects in Non-Medical Stream and possible subjects combination are given below:-

Compulsory Subjects:-
Physics.
Chemistry.
Mathematics.
English.

Optional Subjects:-
Biology.
Physical & Health Education.
Sanskrit.
Music.
Information & Technology.

You will have to choose one of the optional subjects along with compulsory subjects.

There are a total of 6 subjects in H.S. science stream:

The main subjects includes:

1. English

2. Hindi/Bengali/Udru,etc.(This is the other language subject, any one)

3. Physics

4. Chemistry

5. Mathematics


For additional you can take 1 subject:

1. Biological science

2. Statistics

3. Computer science

4. Computer application

5. Physical Training

6. Music

My compulsory subject is English and Hindi and optional subject are physics, chemistry and biology and additional subject is mathematics in bihar board 12 exam. Can I do engineering. After 12th with listed inquiry

Yes, you are very much eligible to pursue engineering with the subjects you are studying in 12th standard.
Eligibility for Engineering..
- A candidate must have studied PCM or PCMB in 12th standard.
- Passing in Mathematics is mandatory (even if it is additional subjects).
- Must have passed in English with at least 50%.
After clearing entrance test like IIT JEE, EAMCET you will get reputed college.
Or
You can directly get admission in private college.
