GATE Exam Details:-

~GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This exam is given by those candidates who wants to do post graduation in engineering. The exam is held generally in the month of February and the result will be out in the middle of March.

~GATE exam is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology. This exam is conducted in eight zones across the country.

~To sit for this exam you need to have a bachelor's degree holder in Engineering/Technology/Architecture. The duration of the course should not be less than four years.

~If you have a master's degree science or mathematics or computer science or statistics then also you are eligible. Even final year candidates can also give this exam.

~If you are in the third or final year of a four year integrated master's programme in engineering or technology then also you are eligible.

~Questions that will be asked will be mainly objective type questions. You have to answer 65 questions of 100 marks all total.

~For each wrong answer there is negative marking too. For each wrong answer 1/3rd marks will be deducted.

~GATE score card which can be easily downloaded from the official website will be valid for two years only.
