CAT stands for Common Admission Test where as MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test.

Both are national wide Entrance Exams.

The candidates can get admission for Management courses like MBA by cracking both these Entrance Exams.

However the CAT Exam will be conducted once in a year where as MAT Exam will be conducted 4 times in a year.

If a candidate want to apply for CAT Exam, he should have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in Graduation.

Such a kind of criteria is not there for MAT Exam.

All the candidates who have completed Graduation with any of the stream are eligible to sit for MAT Exam.

As per the difficulty level,

CAT Exam is the toughest exam when compared to MAT or any other Entrance Exams that give admission for MBA course.

As we know, the more the risk, the more the return.

In the sense, if you crack CAT Exam, there is a scope for you to get admission for MBA course in IIMs which are the prestigious institutions offering this course.

Have good preparation for the entrance exam as per your interest and make most out of it.

Wish you all the best.

Hi,

CAT stands for Common Admission Test.

MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test.

CAT and MAT both are all India entrance examination to study MBA in various top management institutes in India.

There is not much difference between CAT and MAT.

Both are online examinations and MCQ type question. Both are conducted various months in an year.

Eligiblity criteria for Both CAT and MAT are also same:

--> Candidate who have passed graduation in any discipline from any recognized university can apply for CAT or MAT.

--> No minimum marks required to become eligible for CAT or MAT.

Major difference between CAT and MAT is that

CAT score is valid in almost all management institutes and recognized University in India for Admission.

But MAT score is not valid in all recognized management institutes in India.

That is why CAT is favourite than MAT and first choice for any candidate wants to do MBA from IIM.
