Scope after doing Masters in Economics?


Hi,i hav cmpltd my 12th and intrstd in economics,so tat i wish to do b.a.economics furthr i wil continue wit my master degree,the qus i hav is,is chusing economics as a field to explore a wise idea?is there scope for economics?how would be my job and salary?

Masters of economics is a post graduate course. It is a 2 year duration course. To pursue MA in economics one must pass BA or B.Sc in economics with a minimum of 50% marks.

SCOPE AFTER MA ECONOMICS:

One pursue his career in the fields like Business, education, and consultancy fields. Some of the options available are :

* Economic consulting jobs
* Customs department
* Banking jobs
* Stock markets
* Political manufacturing
* Civil services
* Government jobs
* Sales and marketing

-> On an average a masters graduate can earn a minimum of Rs.3.5 lacs per annum.

Economics is one of the fastest growing sectors. Great demand for those candidates who have completed their Master Degree n M.A Economics in various Financial sector companies.

M.A Economics have a wide range of prospects to go for higher studies. They can do their PhD or M.Phil in Economics,

- PhD in Economics
- PhD in Mass Communication (MMC)
- PhD in Advertisement & Journalism etc.

M.A in Economics students can get good jobs in the fields of Management, Public Relations Department, Teaching etc.

So many job opportunities are available for students once they have completed their M.A in Economics. On the successful completion of MA Economics, you can find job opportunity in public and the private sectors as well.

You can even appear in UPSC entrance exams. If you have good knowledge in the field of a Financial sector then you can open your own corporate or consultancy firm as well. Educational institutions and the finance sector also provides good job opportunity for those candidates who have completed an M.A Economics course.

Yes, There is wide scope you can be a lecturer in economics after your masters in a government colleges as well as private college also.For this you have to appear NET (National Eligibility Test) after clearing this you can become a lecturer in a colleges with a good salary.

Other wise you can appear many govt jobs..

IAS
IPS
IFS
IT Officers
Banking sector
Railways
Etc...

Economics has good scope if you unfortunately if you can't do Economics Hons, then you can apply for General Economics.

There are many scopes in this field.

After bachelor degree you can apply for the MA in Economics;

Some of thr specialisation courses are as follows:

> MA (Applied Economics)

> MA (Business Economics)

> MA (Corporation and Applied Economics)

> MA (Econometrics)

> MA (Economics), etc.


There are also many scopes after MA economics:

> Accounting

> Auditor

> Banking and Finance

> Insurance Investment

> Marketing, etc.

You can get good salary depending upon the type of firm you are currently working in. However, in general you can get an initial salary of 18-20k in any average company.

Economics is a field which deals in understanding of manufacturing, distribution and usage of goods and services. It is basically the study of how the forces of demand and supply make allocation of scare resources. It will definitely be a good choice to opt for masters in Economics since it provides lucrative career options if you excel in this field. However, you need to be good at mathematical calculation as well as analytical and critical thinking to excel in this field.

You can work in various sectors after completion of the course like :-

-Ministry of Economic Affairs
-Planning Board
-Planning Commission
-National Sample Survey
-Economic Consultancies
