Hello Sir,
I am Vivekanandan, studying in Anna University B.Tech(IT) final year. I have only 50% in 10th, 79% in Diploma, 74% till 7th semester of my B.Tech. Can I eligible for companies like TCS and IBM for getting job with this percentage of marks?

I am really sorry to say that you cannot get job in TCS and IBM after securing the above mentioned percentages. Yes, the percentage you have secured in 10th Class is very less than what is actually required, and so you are not eligible to get job in both the companies IBM and in TCS. The minimum percentage required for respective companies are given below.

>> Minimum Percentage Required for TCS:

* In 10th Class - Minimum 60% marks Required - You have secured just 50% marks

* In 12th Class - Minimum 60% marks Required

* In Graduation - Minimum 60% marks Required

* In 10th Class - Minimum 70% marks Required - You have secured just 50% marks

* In 12th Class - Minimum 70% marks Required

* In Graduation - Minimum 70% marks Required

As per marks criteria, you are not eligible for TCS and IBM recruitment.

IBM and TCS are reputed multinational company.

Required percentage of marks throughout the studies for IBM and TCS are,

TCS= 60%

IBM=70%

More than two years gap throughout the studies are not eligible for IBM and TCS recruitment.

Pattern for IBM and TCS written test:-

1. Quantitative /analytical reasoning (20 questions)
2. Verbal ability (20 questions)
3. Technical section (10questions)

I am extremely sorry to state that you cannot get a job in TCS or IBM if you have secured 50% in your 10th, 79% in diploma and 74% till 7th semester of your B.Tech course. This is because the basic eligibility criteria to sit for the recruitment drives of both these companies is - you need to have at least 60 percentage or more in your entire career, i.e., 10th, 12th/diploma and graduation. Since you have percentage below 60% in tenth so you will not be eligible and the companies see the eligibility criteria with great importance. Even 59.9% is made ineligible.
