I have passed my 12th with 59.41% marks from GSEB Board. I want to appear for JEE Advanced? Am I eligible for JEE Advanced or not? Waiting for your reply.

You can apply for the JEE Advanced exam on the condition you fulfill all the eligibility criteria to apply for the same .

Eligibility criteria to apply for JEE Advanced exam 2016 are as under :-

-The candidate must have qualified in JEE Main 2016.

-The candidate belonging to open category must have born on or after October 1, 1990 and SC/ST/PwD candidate should have born on or after October 1, 1986 .

-Date of birth mentioned in the Secondary Education Board/University certificate will be considered as correct.

-The candidate should have passed 12th with at least 50% marks in aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Bio-technology as optional subjects .

-The candidate who have passed 12th class or equivalent in the year 2014 or 2015 or appearing for 12th examination in 2016 are eligible for the exam .

-A candidate can appear in JEE Advanced only two times consecutively.

Yes, you are eligible for JEE Advance exam.

Those candidates who have secured top 1,50,000 rank (including all categories) in JEE Main examination are eligible for JEE Advanced exam 2016.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

For becoming eligible for JEE advanced you need to first qualify JEE main. Also, you must have at least 50% marks in your class XII then only you will be eligible for this entrance exam.

Therefore, you can't appear directly for JEE advanced because it is the second stage of JEE after main exam for admission in IITs and NITs.

You need to clear the JEE Main at first to be eligible for the JEE Advanced Examination.
You need to make sure that you have cleared the JEE Main and then only you will be eligible for the JEE Advanced Examination.
You also need 50% marks in your Class 12 Board Examination.
Once you fulfill all these criteria you will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced Examination.
