I want to know about the benefit of providing attested copies of all the documents including 10th marksheet alongwith the application form of IIT JEE?

IIT JEE is the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. This exam has two stages JEE mains and JEE Advanced. JEE Mains is the first stage and advanced is the second stage.

As per 2014 notification for application of JEE examination, candidates do not need to send hard copy of application form with attested documents. You just need to apply online, provide your personal and academic details, upload photography, thumb impression, signature etc and pay the required fees for application.

So, there is no benefit of attested copies for application from of JEE.

There is nothing such as benefit in it,its just a requirement for authentication of your documents as during the submission of your application form, they will never ask you to submit your original documents, therefore, they require an attested copy of your original documents so that it can be used as an authentic document for your application of the examination.

Candidate have to attach attested copies of 10th marksheet along with JEE form.
10th marksheet is for verifying date of birth of the candidate.
It is used to check candidate's date of birth.

Attested copies are just needed to confirm that the photocopies are verified by a gazetted officer. You can get it attested by an officer in your area or you can go to your school to get it attested by the principal of the school.

It is not a difficult process and you can get it easily done without any problem if you have the original documents.
