The eligibility to do PhD course in Gujarat is a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. The aspirant has to appear for an entrance examination conducted by the university and interview for the admission to the PhD course. Those who have cleared NET/SET/SLET/M Phil are exempted from entrance but have to attend the interview. These are all the eligibility conditions to do PhD in Gujarat. The PhD course is available in various universities in Gujarat. The course is available in Full Time and Part Time mode.

You need to have post graduation degree in the given stream with at least 55% marks. There is relaxation of 5% marks available for candidates who belong to reserved category.

Admission will be based on the performance in entrance exam and interview conducted by the concerned university in the state of Gujarat.

Eligibility criteria required to apply for Ph.D exam in Gujarat is Master degree with 50% from recognized university.

Ph.D is a 3 year degree courses in Gujarat University.

Important dates for entrance examination :-

University Entrance Test : last of May, 2016.

Date of Publication of Entrance Test Result : June, 2016.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university with above 55% marks are eligible for Ph.D course.

There are no age criteria for Ph.D course.

Ph.D entrance exam date in Gujarat is not announced yet but it will be announced very soon.
