How may I change my branch from ECE to mechanical? I'm in a private self financing college under CUSAT(Kerala)?


Sir, i am a student in a pvt.self finfancing college under CUSAT in kerala. I want to change my EC branch to ME branch.Can I do it..??Now Iam in first year...I want only change my branch only. If it is to same college I have no problem.What are procedure behind this? Can I change to ME branch this year itself...

Hello,

I prefer you to change your branch as there are many options in mechanical and through electronics you can go to any IT industry which is not a better option. for this you have to be in top 5 students in your branch and there is an vacant seat in the branch you want to go. This is only be done after you complete your first year.
You just give an application for changing the branch to the admission cell of your college.

i am completed ECE from kerala university. I like to take a b tech mechanical degree too. can I do it as distance/regular, also can I get any consideration in the duration of the course like exception for first year, since all of the engineering students study same subject in first year.
