IBPS and other Nationalized Banks conduct bank clerical or PO exams. In order to apply for IBPS clerical exam the required eligibility is that minimum aggregate marks in class 10 should be 60% or 50% in class 12. Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age 28 years. Relaxation between 3 years to 10 years is given to ST/ OBC/ Disabled/ Widow candidates. To know more refer; http://www.ibps.in.
Refer the official websites of the other concerned banks who takes the exams separately like the SBI. To know more visit the official website of State Bank of India : www.statebankofindia.com
To know about written exams and job vacancies follow the employment news and you can refer, www.employmentnews.gov.in for information on government bank jobs.
Generally the salary is almost the same in all the nationalized banks. For example. The starting Pay Scale (Salary) of a newly appointed bank clerk in Indian Overseas Bank as per 2011 recruitment plan is between Rs.7200 to Rs.19300. The pay package includes a basic pay along with Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Gratuity, Pension, LFC, Medical Aid etc., and other facilities as per Indian Overseas Bank rules.
