I m external student from pune university..My self Miss Shweta. Nw i m pursuing T.Y. Bcom. i want to do MBA after the graduation. Can i qualify for giving the Entrance exam of MBA after my graduation ( External ).

Graduation is the basic qualification required for MBA. After completing B.Com degree, you can apply for MBA course. Reputed colleges offer admission via CAT/MAT score. Certain colleges carry out own entrance test for selection. Reasoning, QA, English language, etc forms the syllabus for entrance exam.

Sir,,I am persuing Graduation last semester i.e,,BSC.IMS from Sikkim Manipal University (SMU).,But I have passed 12th with supplementry in one subject (physics) can I appear for CAT or MAT ???

I have completing my grduation in B.A. Also with economics. can i apply for cat/ mat exames &also mba.

MBA - MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, is a two years post Graduation course and can be pursed after completion of Graduation in any stream.

Reputed Institutions conduct admission to MBA course through entrance exam like CAT/MAT /XAT

CAT - Common Admission Test Conducted by IIM(Indian Institute of Management)- The candidate must be an Indian national having completed Graduation in any stream with 50% marks from a recognised University. There is no upper age limit for application to CAT.

MAT - Management Aptitude Testy conducted by AIMA - Candidate having completed Graduation without any percentage of marks criteria can apply for MAT.

Selection procedure for the MBA course involves:

>> Group Discussion
>> Interviews


MBA written Tests that you can appear are:

MAT- Minimum Eligibilty to apply is Graduation pass.This test is conducted by AIMA.

CAT- Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks for general and OBC candidates and 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates.

SNAP- This exam is conducted by Symbiosis, Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass with minimum 50% marks.

XAT- Minimum Eligibilty is Graduation pass


To get calls from Good MBA colleges you have to get atleast 95 percentile marks in the all these written tests.

In what way I can study MBA after Bsc?

You can do mba after your graduation or if you are in a final year , then also you can apply for mba entrance exam .

The only criteria for doing mba is to have a graduation degree with having 50% in any discipline from recognized college .

You need to sit for any one of the mba entrance exam which is being held every year in order to give

opportunity for taking this course from good colleges , exams such as cat,mat,snap,gmat,xat, etc .....

Students needs to bring good percentile in order to increase their chances for admission to good b-school like :

Iims institute

fms ,delhi

xlri, jamshedpur

symbiosis , pune

ibs, hyderabad etc ....

This exam is really very tough , hence you need to study very hard in order to crack this exam and avail

opportunity for yourself to be a part of good b-school ...

hi, i am doing M.A (economics) through correspondence. only two more semesters are left which would get completed by May 2014. I want to do m.b.a after completion of M.A. my maths is not that good but somehow i can cope up. can u suggest me the streams in m.b.a courses which i can look forward, or can u suggest which stream would be beneficial for me after taking economics as my pivotal subject. Kindly reply at the earliest.

dear aspirant

as you are a b.com student you are definitely eligible to apply for mba,
yo will have to appear exams for entry in mba :

1.CAT
2.MAT
3.XAT
4.GMAT

if you are final year students then you are definitely eligible for it,must have 50% in your graduation,
if you crack these exam sthen you can get admission in following institutes :

iim's
xavier college
fms, delhi
symbiosis, pune

there are even many private colleges which take their own entrance exam for admission, if you want to go for foreign for mba then you will to crack gmat

what if i wont get 50% in my Graduation and if i got 35% will i be able to give MBA entrance exam.
