What is the pattern and preparation required to score more in SAT for doing higher studies in abroad?

Sir/Mam, Actually my problem is that firstly I am a IIT student and presently I am preparing for IIT JEE in quota[Rajasthan], I am an above average student and i want to study in abroad i,e. in universities my family is capable of paying the whole budget for the under graduation course. I want to know the pattern on how should I prepare as to get good marks in SAT without taking coaching for this.
