The corporation is the only oil and gas company (state government owned) present in India. Initially, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. was started as a petrochemical company. The corporation is considered as one of the largest gas finds. The first land based drilling platform of the country i.e. Ratnakar has also been built by non other than Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd.

Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. is making recruitment of eligible candidates on the following positions of General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Drilling & Well Engineer, Well Testing & Completions Engineer, Reservoir Engineer and Manager. All the following positions are available in various field or disciplines.

1. Recruitment of General Manager (Reservoir Engineering):

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. or B.Tech or M.S. or M.tech in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ reservoir Engineering from a recognized university.

2. Recruitment of Dy. General Manager (Geology/ Finance & Accounts/ Geophysics/ Petrophysics):
No. of posts: Only 7 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have acquired the prescribed educational qulaification from a recognized university.

3. Recruitment of Day/Night Company Man (On/Off Pattern):
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

4. Recruitment of Assistant General Manager (Reservoir Engineer/HSE):
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. or M.Tech in the concerned discipline from a recognized university.

5. Recruitment of Drilling & Well Engineer:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

6. Recruitment of Well Testing & Completions Engineer:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

7. Recruitment of Reservoir Engineer:

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have done B.E. in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

8. Recruitment of Manager/Senior Manager (Finance & Accounts/ Materials Management):

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have acquired the minimum educational qualification from a recognized university.

Selection Process:

Selection Process for all the above specified positions includes a Personal Interview Test onlly. A selection committee will take the interview test of the eligible candidates. Suitable candidates will be shortlisted on the result of the interview test.
