Yogada Satsanga Mahavidyalaya shortly called as YSM is a religious foundation that was established in the year 1967 by drawing inspiration from the teachings and life of Sri Sri Paramhansa Yogananda. The institution began its educational journey with just 1000 students and 19 teachers and was offering education from the small building at the Ashram Campus itself just for writing a new saga of success in the history of the Ranchi University. It is presently acting as a government aided institution with affiliation from the Ranch University.

Library at YSM:

Library at Yogoda Satsanga Mahavidyalaya was constructed with the assistance of UGC and the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India located in Ranchi. The library of the institute is located in a separate double storage building and it has a collection of more than 25000 volumes of books. The library also has a separate well-furnished reading room and the library is also subscribing for nine invaluable educational periodicals and journals. The library offers book bank facility to students from deprived and poor section of society. Presently, the institute is in the process of modernizing the library and its upgradation process is going on.
