Government Engineering College, Bharuch is one among the eight Government Engineering Colleges that were established in the state of Gujarat in the year 2004. The college is offering engineering courses with affiliation from the Gujarat Technological University and it is a non-minority, co-education institution run by the Government of Gujarat.

Government Engineering College, Bharuch offers UG courses in following branches of engineering and the approved intake capacity of the college for each of the course per year is also given below:

• Civil Engineering – 60 students

• Chemical Engineering – 60 students

• Electrical Engineering – 120 students

• Mechanical Engineering – 120 students

• Electronics & communication Engineering – 120 students

Eligibility requirement:

For seeking admission to any of the above-mentioned branches of engineering, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream with good percentage of marks either from the Board of Higher Education of the state of Gujarat or from the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Admission Criteria:

Admission of students to the different branches of engineering courses offered by Government Engineering College, Bharuch is done based on the merit secured by the students in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test, GUJCET conducted all over the state of Gujarat.

Library at the institute:

Library at Government Engineering College, Bharuch has a wide collection of books pertaining to computers, chemistry, physics, applied mechanics, mathematics, industries, electronics & communication, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. There is a minimum of 430 books under each of these categories and maximum of 3100 books. The management of the college is under the process of converting the library into digital library and it has a capacity of accommodate 50 students at a time.
