i complete diploma engg. in k.j polytechnic bharuch since 2009 to 2012...i have 1 backlog in 5th. sem... can i get admission in degree engineering n this yer?? plzzzz ans me very soon...

Yes you may take admission in graduation of engineering degree course but first you have to clear your backlog in diploma. May be you will not be able to take admission in engineering in this year for your backlog. You have to clear the backlog after that you may take admission in next year.

To take admission in engineering you may follow any one of the two way. One way is you can take admission through lateral entry and other way is you may take admission in engineering through engineering entrance examination.

If you want to take admission through lateral entry the you have to appear in Lateral Entry Entrance Test(LEET). This is a state level examination.Through this examination you will be able to take admission in engineering colleges directly in second year of engineering. Based in your rank in this examination you will be able to choose college at the time of counseling. The advantage of taking admission through this examination that you can take admission in engineering directly in second year it will save your one year. But only 10% of seats in engineering colleges are reserved for lateral entry where lateral entry are available. So number of seats are limited.

If you want to take admission through engineering entrance examination then you will be able to take admission in first year of engineering only. For this you have to appear in IIT JEE, AIEEE or any other state level engineering entrance examination. If you want to take admission in IIT or NITs then you must have to clear IIT JEE or AIEEE examination. Because there is no lateral entry seat in IITs and NITs.

You should appear in IIT JEE, AIEEE and LEET examination after clearing your backlog. If you get chance to take admission in IIT or NIT them surely take admission there as IITs and NITs are the best institution in India for technical study. But if you fail to take admission in IIT or NIT then take admission through LEET examination directly in second year of engineering in a good institution.

i am giving my diploma final year exams now, but , i am afraid that i will not clear one of my backlogs. So will i be eligible for Degree and if not then can i seek admission in degree after i clear my backlogs next year. If u have any other suggestions plz go forward with it . Thank you !
