Northern Railway (NR) was established in the year 1952. Northern Railway holds the pride of being the largest railway zones in India with respect to number of route km. It includes 5 Divisions-Ambala, Delhi, Moradabad, Ferozpur and Lucknow. It extends across the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, J & K and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Northern Railway introduced the first diesel and electric locomotive simulators in India, and it uses modern signaling for enhancing efficiency and safety in their operations.
Job Profile:
Northern Railways (NR) invites application from eligible candidates for the Group-D Posts.
No. of posts – 11439
Pay Scale – Rs. 5200-20200 + GP of Rs. 1800
Eligibility:
Age Criteria - Minimum age limit is 18 yrs and maximum age limit is 33 yrs (Relaxable as per rules).
Qualification –Pass in 10th class or ITI or its equivalent is essential.
Selection Process:
The selection of the post is through Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written examination and personal interview. For complete details about each selection procedure, refer the NR’s website.
How to apply:
Eligible interested candidates can download the application from http://www.nr.indianrailways.gov.in Filled application complete in all respects must be sent to the following address through ordinary post along with required enclosures:

Application Fee:
Crossed Indian Postal Order or Crossed Demand draft for an amount of Rs. 40 obtained from State Bank of India or any other public sector bank must be drawn in favor of Assistant Personnel officer, Railway Recruitment Cell, Northern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell, Lajpat Nagar – I, New Delhi 110024. There is no fee for SC/ST/PWD, women, and minority candidates.
