Hari Shanker Prasad Law College was established on 26th January, 2004 and the college was initially affiliated to the Purvanchal University located at Jaunpur. From 1st July 2009, the college came under the jurisdiction of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith at Varanasi. The college came into existence under the guidance of Hari Shankar Prasad Educational Society.

The state government of Uttar Pradesh and the Bar Council of India has approved the law courses offered by Hari Shanker Prasad Law College. The college offers excellent education in the field of law through qualified and experienced lecturers. The main aim of the college is to produce efficient professionals to the field of law.

The mission of the college is to form a better society and to build the nation strong. The college aims to inculcate aesthetic values in the minds of students from the preprimary level so as to make them ready to face every challenge in life smoothly. It is committed to nurturing, motivating and inspiring the future generations of India.

Course offered:

Hari Shanker Prasad Law College provides the undergraduate course in law – LLB (Bachelor of Law) and the duration of this course is three years.

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

Candidates who have successfully passed Bachelor’s degree under any discipline of education from an approved university are eligible to apply for the LLB course. Admission for the LLB course in the college is done based on merit in degree exam and according to the guidelines issued by the affiliating university from time to time.

Hari Shaker Prasad Law College has state-of-the-art infrastructure with excellent facilities such as individual hostel facilities for girls and boys, Moot Court facility, Seminar hall, transportation facilities, labs, sports facilities, canteen, facility for students to participate in extra-curricular activities and library. The college library is full-fledged with about 5500 books related to law and the library also has a spacious separate reading room. The college organizes National and State Level Seminars every year in its spacious seminar hall.
