H.M. Patel Institute of English Training & Research is managed by the Charutar Vidya Mandal and the courses offered by the institute are affiliated to Sardar Patel University situated at Vallabh Vidhyanagar. Courses offered:
The institution is wholly meant for training and research in English language and so the courses offered by it are as follows:
• Bachelor of Education in English
• Master of Arts in English
• Master of Arts in English Language Training
Apart from these courses, the institute also conducts some need-based short-term courses, proficiency courses for scholars from other countries and in-service training programmes.
Research:
As the name implies, H.M. Patel institution is also a research institution and so it offers Master of Philosophy and Ph. D in English Language training.
Admission Criteria:
As far as Master of Arts in English Language Training and English is concerned, students must have completed Bachelor of Arts in English or a Bachelor of Education in English from Sardar Patel University or any other recognized university with a minimum of 40% of marks. Also, candidates must get through the written and oral test, which will be similar to TOEFL test. For the B. Ed course, candidate must be graduates in any discipline with English as a subject. For M. Phil course, candidates must be master degree holders in English.
Alumni Association:
The institute is planning to start an alumni association, which will act as a link between the institute and its past students. The alumni will be informed about the major events in the institute through this association. Alumni engaged in research or higher studies can be provided with essential help like loan, library books for reference, etc… through this association.
