Indian Institute of Aeronautics 2011 AME
The Indian Institute of Aeronautics (IIA) holds an entrance exam in order to undertake admission in the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering based program. The Institute is the oldest of its kind in the nation. IIA was firstly established in the year 1983 in the city of Patna, and was subsequently set up in the city of New Delhi in the year 2001. The Institute is recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aggregation (DGCA), Government of India. Even the Traveling Activity Directory of ICAO offers accreditation to the Institute. The Institute has established campuses in the city of Kolkata, Bhopal, Delhi, Patna ad Jamshedpur. The Institute offers a unique exposure to the candidates through professional based training programs. The Institute also has several tie-ups with major Airline companies from India as well as from abroad.
The Institute offers great infrastructural based facilities coupled with great teaching staff, which offers excellent education to the candidates. The Institute has training in the Aircrafts Maintenance department which helps them to instill a unique insight to the candidates for offering a great practical exposure. The Institute undertakes an admission test, and only after clearing it can candidates obtain an opportunity to get admitted in the desired course. The Institute undertakes the test in most of the cities across the nation. Every year, it receives a phoneme numbers of application for exam, but only few have the talent to make it through the final list.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 with atleast 50% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics/Diploma in engineering/BSc with PCM. However candidates who belong to the reservation categories as well as those who belong to the defense background are offered relaxation in the above eligibility criterion. Also the age of the candidate should be between 17-24 years as on 31st July, 2011

How to Apply:
Application form is available directly from the institute and can also be downloaded through the website www.iiagroup.in. Candidates can also obtain the application form directly by visiting the Institute in personal and purchasing it either by paying through cash or through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of the Registrar of the Institute. Furthermore, candidates can also obtain the application form through post. They have to only forward a requisite letter along with a DD with a stamp of Rs. 75/ to the given address.
