International Institute of Foreign Trade and Research, shortly called as IIFTR was established with approval from the Government of Madhya Pradesh and with affiliation from the Devi Ahilya University for offering UG, PG and diploma courses in the faculty of Foreign trade with a view to develop the business of foreign trade in India.

The institute is promoted by the Midcaps Education Society located in Indore. It is equipped with several infrastructural facilities like library, hostels, computer lab, fully furnished classrooms, etc…

Affiliation and approval:

All the academic courses offered by the IIFTR are affiliated to the Devi Ahilya University since the institute does not believe in offering non-affiliated educational courses. The courses offered by the institution are governed by the ordinance No.39 of the university. MPAICTE approval is not required for conducting courses in foreign trade since these courses does not fall under the jurisdiction of the All India Council for Technical Education.

Courses offered:

International Institute of Foreign Trade and Research offers the following courses with affiliation from the Devi Ahilya University:

• Master of Business Administration in Foreign Trade

o Two-year course

o Five-year course

• Bachelor of Business Administration

Intake capacity and eligibility requirement:

For both two-year and five-year MBA course, the admission capacity of the institute is 120 students per course and for BBA course its admission capacity is 60 students per year. For getting into the two-year MBA course, candidates should have passed their UG degree in any disciplines like engineering, science, commerce, arts, etc… and for five-year MBA and BBA course, candidates should have passed their higher secondary in any stream of education like arts, commerce and science.

Admission Criteria:

Admission to the two-year MBA course, will be done on the basis of merit to be determined either through entrance examination or on the basis of the percentage of marks secured by the candidates in the qualifying examination. Admission to BBA and five-year MBA course, shall be made on merit basis, which will be determined either through entrance examination or marks secured in the higher secondary examination.

Dual Degree:

MBA Foreign Trade offered as a five-year course by the IIFT is a dual degree course in which candidates will be conferred with BBA degree from Devi Ahilya University after successful completion of first six semesters and after completion of all ten semesters, he/she will be conferred with MBA in Foreign Trade degree by the Devi Ahilya University.
