Power Grid Corporation of India Limited was established in 1989 for transmission of Electric Power across the country. It is the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of the country. It is one of the largest transmission utilities in the world. The main work of the corporation is power transmission and it is also involved in control, supervision, co-ordination and planning of transmission system between the states.

Job Profile:

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited requires talented Indian personnel for filling up the vacant positions of Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical) for its Northern Region-I Transmission System in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi. Selected candidates will have to undergo one year training.

Eligibility:

For general category candidates, the maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years while 32 years is the maximum age limit set for SC/ST category candidates. For the OBC category candidates, the maximum age limit set is 30 years. The relaxation in age is also available for the Physically handicapped candidates. All interested candidates must strictly follow this age criteria.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have passed ITI in Electrical field from a recognized institute of India. Candidates possessing qualification less than ITI are not eligible for applying on the post of Junior Technician Trainees (Electrical). If candidates with less educational qualification still applies for the post, his/her application will be cancelled straightaway by the corporation.

For SC category candidates: 13 posts.
For ST category candidates: 4 posts.
For OBC category candidates: 15 posts.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be given Rs. 11500-26000 per month after the successful completion of their training.

Application Fee:

A non-refundable Demand Draft of Rs. 100 is to be submitted as application fee by the interested candidates. Application fee is not required to be submitted by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Ex-SM categories. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED payable at New Delhi.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of three stages which includes a written test followed by a Interview test and Pre Employment Medical Examination. Only qualified candidates of the written test will be called for the interview. And only the qualified candidates of this interview test will be called for the pre employment medical examination.

How to apply: Candidates should make application on A-4 size paper only. Candidates are also required to send the attested copies of certificates and the demand draft of non refundable application fee, in support of their application form.
